HIV testing has become vitally important in modern American society. Common Sexually Transmitted Diseases include herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and others. However, AIDS is generally considered to pose the most serious health risk. STDs usually spread from one person to another during intimate sexual contact or by sharing needles. These diseases do not show symptoms of infection for months. This is a major cause for concern because the infected person may unwittingly pass on the infection to other unsuspecting individuals. One way to avoid this is by regularly checking your sexual health status at a local testing center. These centers provide a variety of testing services, including HIV testing, at reasonable purchase prices.

Reasons To Purchase HIV Testing Services

* HIV testing centers guarantee confidentiality.
* Test results are usually available within three days.
* Testing packages, including an HIV test, can be purchased online.
* Certain testing centers let you order at-home-testing kits for diseases like gonorrhea and Chlamydia.
* Some STD testing centers let you schedule a free appointment with an in-house doctor on purchasing an HIV Testing package.
* Many STDs do not show any symptom of infection for months. The only way to be sure of your sexual health status is to get tested at regular intervals.
* Getting yourself tested is easy. You can choose to get tested for individual diseases like chlamydia, gonorrhea, and others. For example, you can order just an HIV test. Many STD testing centers also offer packages that let you get tested for all common STDs (like herpes, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and HIV) in one go at reasonable prices.

An effective way of preventing the spread of sexually transmitted diseases is to get tested. Getting your sexual health checked at regular intervals will protect both you and your partner.

For decades the HIV virus infected thousands of people all over the world. These thousands of people only add to the millions that are virus carriers or have already developed the diseases.

Patient 0 for the HIV virus was a man, a 15 years old teenager that dyed from unknown causes. It was only 14 years after his death that medical investigators have discovered, based upon preserved tissue, the fact that the dating time of the HIV virus was set way behind the firs patient zero, and that the child died from an HIV infection which triggered AIDS.

Today, most of the infected patients are men. The main reason for this is that male patients used to have random sexual intercourse, often more than women. Homosexuality also contributed to the increasing number of male infected subjects. Most important cause, which could eradicate the two mention causes, is protection.

An unprotected sexual intercourse could bring up a lot more then AIDS and HIV symptoms in men, but it can turn lives around and close down doors that you thought forever opened, like having healthy children.

HIV symptoms in men can have a different manifest than symptoms showed by the female patients. Generally, the male body is stronger, and the immune system can struggle harder to fight of the virus.

However, this struggle can bring up positive or negative reactions, depending on the stage of virus development.

Fever, weight loss, head each, eczema, and other manifestations are all early signs of HIV infection.

Only the most experienced doctors can realize what is wrong with the patient based upon these symptoms, especially in male patients, where the HIV can be mistaken for a simple infection, only based upon symptoms.

There is no actual cure for this virus, due to its amazing ability of subscribing its own ARN into the genetic code of the host.

Some people experience signs and symptoms of HIV (Human Immunodeficiency Virus), as soon as they become infected, while others do not. When they occur, early signs and symptoms are often mistaken for the flu or a mild viral infection. Our blog provides in depth view of the different symptoms.

As it has been observed, long-distance truck drivers among various parts of the world have been observed to be prone more often to HIV infections as a result of the nature of their work. Being separated from their families and the community for long period, they end-up abandoning moral values and engage in anti-social behaviors along their journeys. More specifically, such long-distance truck drivers often engage in unhealthy commercial sexual affairs without use of protective devices like condoms; making them more vulnerable to contacting HIV. In this respect therefore, the need for participation on this particular issue has been necessitated by the currently experienced high level of victims of HIV among the long distance truck drivers along the Brazil’s Southern Border.

Purpose

The main purpose of this research is to enhance the development of outreach strategies to overcome the lack of participation in the currently observed crisis in the Southern Brazil Border among the truck drivers. More specifically, the long-distance truck drivers within this border have been found to be more prone to HIV due to their long separation with their families; hence opting for commercial sex on the course of their works. On this basis therefore, this research purposes to devise means and ways of reducing the vulnerability of these truck drivers to HIV Aids.

Background Information

According to data collected by the “Population Council” in 2001, truck drivers crossing Brazil’s border have been found to have easy access to commercial sex and are extremely limited to access of health services. As a result, many of them engage in unsafe sexes in which they later-on lack time to access health services for HIV testing. More so, such drivers usually have been found to lack access to guidance and counseling services and HIV/STI prevention messages which exposes them to more dangers of re-infection. This really enhances the acuity of the HIV infection making them to die within short periods after being infected (Cracknell, 2000).

On this consideration therefore, this study would involve visiting various statistics centers to collect enough data concerning the vulnerability of truckers along the Southern Brazil border to the HIV Aids. More specifically, various hospitals would be visited to enquire about the nature of most of the HIV victims in such hospitals (Wachter, 1999). More so, there would be physical interrogations of some of the truck drivers on their various experiences in their work. Research centers would also the Statistics Centers would be visited to enquire some information about the behaviors of long-distant truckers along the Southern Brazil Border.

Theoretical Framework

As depicted by Maser (1996), separation of individuals for long breaks some bonds of love and care that usually exist when these individuals are together. Frequent separations of individuals from their families and their community drive individuals into some kind of stress and psychological problems. More specifically, once an individual finds no time to settle with his/her family, he tends to seek pleasurable activities to counter the stress. As a result, most of individuals who are frequently separated from their families attend to seek pleasure activities like sexual affairs and alcohol taking. On this basis therefore, most of the workers who usually have not time with their families and communities making them more vulnerable to unsafe and immoral activities (Criag, 2002).

Further, peer influences among co-workers have been found to impact a lot on individuals’ behavior. In this case, those individuals who usually work with other people who often engage into unhealthy activities usually compel them to engage into the same activities. For instance, as a trucker driver, it is usually very easy for one to be dragged into immoral activities by their fellow drivers. Generally, peer group influences have been found to be very powerful in changing behaviors among individuals (Trochim, 2002).

Methodology

Conduction of a literature review on moral development among individuals in the society and factors resulting into ignoring morals values among the people.
Interact with truck drivers to understand their behaviors better and deeper.
Interview some of truck drivers along the Southern Brazil Border to understand their behaviors better.
Visit ten Hospitals within the Southern Brazil Border to enquire any statistics related to the number of HIV victims who had been previously working as truck behaviors. An interview would also be conducted to some of the HIV victims in the hospitals to determine their ultimate source of the infection.
The National Statistics Bureau would be contacted in order to get precise information about the behavior of the truck drivers along the Southern Brazil Border.
Situational analysis would be undertaken in order to develop credible report about HIV intervention among truck drivers in Brazil southern border.
Writing a research report based on the facts collected as a result of the empirical research carried out.
Limitations of this research

This research is prone to fund shortages as it involves a lot of movements from one place to another. More so, the respondents involved in the process of carrying out the data collection may not respond as intended. This is because, some of them may withhold some information concerning their moral behaviors; fearing to be exposed.

Solutions

The problems identified have been planed to be solved through various ways. First, the movements from one station to another would be limited by conducting all the research from one station without returning back. Concerning the problem of response from the respondents, it would be solve through assuring the respondents of the confidentiality of the data given.

HIV is a worldwide epidemic. New global HIV estimates, released by the Joint United Nations Programme on HIV/AIDS (UNAIDS) and the World Health Organization (WHO), underscore the continued severity of the HIV pandemic. Sub-Saharan Africa bears the brunt of the pandemic, accounting for more than two-thirds (68%) of persons living with HIV and more than three-quarters (76%) of deaths in 2007.

In many countries in Africa, young people ages 15-25 account for over 50% of the of new HIV infections. TB Joshua heals a man diagnosed with HIV … if it’s genuine! What do you think?

It is an established fact that Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) is responsible for causing Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome (AIDS). The origin of aids is a very controversial topic and is open to debate as of now. Studies reveal that there are millions of HIV positive victims around the world. The HIV virus causes wide damage to the body’s immune system. HIV virus is primarily of two types: HIV – 1 and HIV – 2. There are many strains of both these types of virus and they mutate very fast, which makes it very difficult for researchers to develop an effective treatment. Most experts believe that if HIV is left untreated it leads to AIDS.

Symptoms of HIV stay hidden in its victims, with most common signs related to this disease like fatigue, fever, swollen lymph nodes, rash are often mistaken for other harmless disease. People of all ages are prone to HIV AIDS infection. AIDS develops faster in young children while it shows its effects in adults after a long period after infection. A safe measure to insure protection from the disease is to undergo HIV AIDS testing on a regular basis. HIV infections, if left untreated for long can lead to its final stage – AIDS. People who have AIDS grow weak because their immune system loses strength to defend the body against infections. AIDS is an incurable disease but prevention is possible through AIDS testing.

For this it is necessary to have enough information about this disease. For those who think they have signs of the disease should visit a health worker or an HIV/AIDS Center to receive private counseling as well as AIDS testing. The disease is fatal in nature in its later stages and thus it is important to go in for HIV AIDS testing at the earliest. Symptoms of HIV infections are more evident in those who engage in unsafe sex activities. The spread of HIV infection can be prevented to a great extent by engaging in sex with the same uninfected partner and following safe sex practices like use of condoms and sex without penetration. People at greater risk of acquiring HIV infection are those infected with sexually transmitted disease (SIT). Syringes and needles which are unsterilized pose a great HIV infection hazard. As HIV is a serious disease the drugs involved in treatments for HIV are strong and cause side effects which require treatment in return. In some cases of HIV treatment the patient develops drug resistance leading to further complications. Symptoms of HIV are usually detected and diagnosed by blood tests. If one experiences ailments to greater degree, consulting a physician is advised as soon as possible.

Alternative treatments of AIDS include herbal treatment which claims to boost the natural immune system gradually. Besides, there are a number of other treatments which help in alleviating the effects of AIDS disease but up to date there is no known sure cure for this disease. HIV and AIDS have become synonymous words as they are both related and often are the cause of the other disease.

Having suffered long with the ailment, it’s a feel good factor to advice about making health easy and life relaxing. Find more about the diseases instead of going for risky surgery & medications side effects.
